Need some insight from someone who knows their stuff about cold sores?

Hey guys so I shared a drink with my friend who had cracked dried skin in the corner of his mouth, i dont think it was a cold sore, i asked him if it was and he said it didnt ooze, burn tingle, or get blistery. but is it possible if he did that i would get one the next day? i had a canker sore already and now i have 2 more little white dots in the inside of my lips but close to the top of my bottom lip
