The groom isn't supposed to see the dress right? how bout the shoes?

my H2B has a brilliant understanding of my taste in shoes, it's quite scary sometimes. i can see a pair of shoes i like on an impulse shopping spree, and he has the knack for knowing whether i'll still like them the next day, so i've just bought my shoes, on a slight impulse buy because they were on sale, do you think it'll be ok to let him see them? so should i just get as many girlfriends opinions as poss? or does it not really matter so much that he sees shoes only?
